Hello. My name is Ed, and welcome to ExoFit. I've been interested in gymnastics and calisthenics in particular for a long time. I love the ability to train without weights or fitness machines, and have always been impressed by the flexibility and power to weight ratio of gymnasts.
Fitness training can take many forms, and while commercial gyms definitely have their place, I am a firm believer in the mantra "You are your own gym"!
Many people thrive on their gym membership and need that social interaction or feedback from their PTI. However, it is possible to attain a high level of fitness and build a strong yet flexible body using very little equipment.
I'm in my 50s and try to look after myself. With children and all that life throws at me, I find that calisthenics at home easy to integrate with a busy family life. With your own rig at home, you can work around children or work commitments without the need and expense of a gym membership.
For years, I had a calisthenics training rig in the garden made from rough sawn posts, scaffold poles, and galvanised handrail. I knew I could do better, so I started ExoFit.
